Poured from a bottle into a snifter glass.
Look – very light amber color, almost an orange color, clear, with about two fingers’ worth of off-white colored foam that dissipates somewhat slowly.
Smell – quite hoppy, but somewhat subdued at the same time, perhaps by the Belgian yeasts? I can’t quite pick out any of the hops that are mentioned on the label, just that hops are very much present.
Taste – again, very hoppy tasting at the beginning, with almost a spiciness that you would find in a pumpkin ale. It finishes with the bitterness you’d expect from an IPA, and then it lingers at bit more in the aftertaste. Fairly unique taste.
Mouthfeel – very well balanced.
Overall – unique taste and very interesting and intriguing to sample.
