A: Crystal Clear light golden color. Nice one finger head that slowly faded but left a light lacing throughout the beer.

S: Awesome, Smelled like a rich Belgium ale and a light crisp IPA all at the same time.

T: Lived up to every part of the smell. Crisp Sour Apple, Apricot and kinda a weird nutty tart flavor from the Belgium yeast.

F: Light and smooth

Loved this beer. First experience with a beldium IPA and I'm pretty sure Im gonna try a batch myself. Why don't more breweries do this???

This is my 3rd or 4th one from the six pack (not all at once!). Poured into a pint glass.

appearance - 4/5 - Pours with a nice head that fades but leaves a fair amount of lacing. The color is very light golden so much so that I can read text through it! I think it could be a hair darker to improve it's appearance (and perhaps give it some more body).

smell - 4.5/5 - Grassy with subtle sweetness.

taste - 4.5/5 - Very refreshing Belgian plus grapefruit hops flavor, though the Belgian "flavor" is fairly mild if not canceled out by the hops. Which, by the way, the hops linger for a while. A little grassy too. Very "bright". Might be a perfect post-lawnmower beer. Can't wait to find out. :)

mouthfeel - 4/5 - Perfect carbonation, crisp, refreshing body. Speaking of body, it is very light bodied IMO. I would personally like a little more body to balance the hops.

overall - 4.5/5 - Despite that I think it needs a little more balance in the body, I enjoy this beer. In fact, it's one of those that with every sip, it gets better. That might just be the 7% talking...

Appearance - Golden copper with a 1 finger head that leaves a light lacing around the glass. High clarity within the beer's body. Looks like a solid ipa. Thought it would have been a little more "spicy" looking.

Aroma - Light citrus with some farmhouse funk. Some spices pull through and smells a little more like a Belgium than it looked

Mouthfeel - Crisp, light, refreshing.

Taste - Surprisingly funky. Definitely hop forward and can taste the Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe and Cascade hops like a good west coast ipa. The back end is funky and dry like a farmhouse ale. Dig that straw bready dryness. No booziness at all.

Overall - I felt like I was mixing 2 different beers here. Impressed with the balance between hoppiness and funkiness. Very crisp and refreshing. Very sessionable even with the higher ABV. It is usually a hit or miss with New Belgium and I would definitely hit this again.

A: Pale straw, crystal clear, not much head, nor head retention. Its whatever.

S: Clove, allspice, yeasty, sweet, bananas, hop funk on the back

T: Sweet, tempered by a good dose of bitterness. Very complex and yeasty. So nice.

M: Nice carbonation here, pretty heavy. Very refreshing medium bodied brew.

O: I love it. If I've ever had a gripe with Belgian beers its that they are unbalanced in terms of alcohol presence and maltiness. This very hoppy belgian style addresses that problem. Balance is perfect imho, and the high carbonation makes this feel like you're drinking something much more relaxed than an old world beer.

Sessionable.
