Amber hue with a cream tightly packed head. Head retention on the lower side. A frenzy of bubbles rising to the surface.
Estery saison yeast aroma. Citrusy with some vanilla.
Peppery saison flavor dominates the beer. Any fruit flavor is pushed into the background and doesn't add much. Lingering vegetal, slightly phenolic, bitterness on the finish. Somewhat sweet straight-forward malt profile.
The bitterness on the backend and little fruit flavor sort of kills it for me. Man this beer sucks.

Had on tap at Max's (from notes)
A: Copper with light lacing.
S: Lots of yeast and farmhouse scents. Wet blanket.
T: A bit of funk with subtle citrus but mostly farmhouse. Subdued odd earthy flavors/aftertaste.
M: Nice and prickly. Coarse bubbly.
O: I think the earthiness came from the prickly pear.
