Appearance: Pours a bright, golden orange with about 2" of fizzy white head. Slight lacing and below average retention. Not exactly saison-looking in color, but it is an attractive looking beer in terms of color and clarity.
Smell: Lots of bubblegum, banana and clove in this. Some juicy grapefruit, passion-fruit, and citrus become more prevalent as the beer warms more, but it isn't nearly as dominant as I was expecting. Not bad.
Taste: Lots of citrus, clove, and banana up front. Hints of pale malts and juicy fruitiness in the middle and on the back end. Finish has some floral hops and more fruit. Again, there isn't nearly as much fruit in this as I was anticipating, more a complement to the base beer. The saison in this beer isn't stellar, but it is decent. Overall, combines to make a passable beer.
Mouthfeel/Overall: Light bodied, low carbonation. A bit dead for the style. Overall, I did enjoy this beer. Seemed interesting enough when I picked it up. Not necessarily something I'd have again, but worth a try.

Had on tap at Max's (from notes)
A: Copper with light lacing.
S: Lots of yeast and farmhouse scents. Wet blanket.
T: A bit of funk with subtle citrus but mostly farmhouse. Subdued odd earthy flavors/aftertaste.
M: Nice and prickly. Coarse bubbly.
O: I think the earthiness came from the prickly pear.
