A- Golden Caramel color with a white head and okay retention.
S- Some saison yeast flavor to sour out the sweetness of all sorts of fruit and a little bubblegum.
T- Follows the nose to some extent, but the funky flavor is brought even more extremely than I expected. Big banana and some overripe peach.
M- Good amount of carbonation. The aftertaste is of course sour and leaves me satisfied rather than reaching for my next sip, as is the case too often with sweet fruity beers.
O- The is somewhat of a one-trick pony, but it is very good at that one trick!Worth a try if you get the chance

Gonna try this Saison from New Belgium. Hopefully it sticks to the style as much as it can. I love Hennepin. So with the adding of prickly pear and passion fruit this style sounds exciting.
Bottle: 22oz. bomber
Served into a 15 oz. snifter
No bottle date
Appearance: Reddish golden hue to this one. Very little head and retention was minimal. Looks good for the style. A little too much clarity. Not enough funky haze.
Smell: Great yeast profile. Can pick up a small amount of passion fruit. But works well. Not too overwhelming. Really surprised.
Taste: Nice sour notes, but not long on the drink. Real simple and straight forward. Not enough funk like in the appearance. Wanted a little bit more from this one.
Mouthfeel: Too clean. Still want more sourness from the yeast or malt. Okay, but does the style little justice.
Overall: A good drink. Maybe the extra fruit listed made me more curious than normal. Okay drink but not a must have for Barnyard folk.

Brought this bomber back from New Belgium. Poured into a New Belgium chalice.
A: Pours a golden hue, clear, and a light 1/4 finger worth of head. A good amount of carbonation coming off the bottom of the glass, light lacing as it recedes.
S: Nose is of green apples, Lemongrass, a very light acidic note, and in the end I'm getting some Belgian yeast (although I know it's French yeast).
T: Taste is a bit tart, albeit very minuscule. Tartness is smoothed over by earthy yeast and citrus notes. I'm not keen to the passion fruit/prickly pear in this saison, but I'm definitely picking out some citrus and pear notes.
M: Medium- bodied, light and refreshing, as well as perfectly carbonated. Great hot summer day drink, but at 8.5% ABV, it was well disguised.
