Poured in to a imperial pint glass, with a 2.5 finger, rocky, white head. Great lacing. Clear, burnt gold body. Good looking IPA.

Aroma was present of fresh hops. Grassy, citrusy and fruity. Some strong grapefruit. Mild caramel sweetness with a backing maltiness.

Taste was excellent. No signs of ABV. Very smooth, crisp and delicious. Lots of fresh hop flavor. Good amounts of fruity and citrusy hop flavor with a mild grassy finish. Moderate bitterness that is on the grapefruit side. Good malty backbone with a mild sweetness. Subtle bready notes.

Mouthfeel was medium body, medium carb with a crisp, dry finish that lets the hops shine.

Overall a very good offering from New Belgium. Not over the top, in your face hop flavor/aroma, but very pleasant and highly drinkable. Will definitely get more of this.

22oz bottle. Pours a clear light copper orange with a big fluffy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is caramel and toasted biscuit malt with piney, grassy, resiny fruity hops.

The flavor is toasted caramel malts with some melon and a lot of resiny pine. It has a lot of bitterness in the finish but a bit of a weird plasticky note. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with light prickly carbonation.

Overall, it's interesting. Definitely the bitterest beer I've had from New Belgium. Other than the weird off note in the aftertaste and a little to much of a toasted note, this could be pretty good. Still decent though.

22oz brown bomber, no freshness date.

LOOK: Massive head, very sticky ... brilliant golden color.

SMELL: Hop resin, hemp, orange oil, citric pith, leafy, spice, alcohol, grapefruit, toasted grain, ripe fruit

TASTE: Very smooth, creamy, bitty, hop oil, leafy, tree bark, resin, orange peel, grapefruit rind, tangerine juice, yeast, faint breadiness, alcohol, vegtal, slightly bitter dry-ish finish

A great showcasing of fresh hops in a slightly bigger beer, a bit of a hop takeover but it did not take away from being quaffable. A great example if you are new to the whole "fresh hop" sub-style. Definitely wish I had more than one bomber.

Thanks to thirdeye11 for sharing this bottle. (This is reviewed from notes, it was drank fresh).

The beer pours a yellow color with a white head. The aroma is full of pine and orange notes from the hops, as well as a hint of biscuit malt. The aroma is very fresh smelling. The flavor is full of big, resinous and sticky pine notes, with a little bit of orange citrus. There is also some bread from the malt and a low amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours out equal parts orange and amber, nice 1" head to it, mostly white. Good aroma, definitely a good yield and combination of Cascade, Simcoe and Amarillo working nicely together here, especially if you're partial to the green pine needle hop aroma. Smells like fresh hops and CO to me!

Taste, impressive as well, pine and citrus hop mouthfeel, bitterness held in abeyance thankfully. The bitterness and wet wood flavors so prominent in batches of Ranger the last two years does not exist in this beer. Its bright, light and hoppy. Malt is only there to absorb a little heat, doesn't overshadow the hops. I was pretty impressed that this was so good still in the middle of December.

Put this bottle down during the 1st half of Marquette's drubbing of Green Bay on Saturday night. 9-0 baby!

(Served in a tulip glass)

A- The crystal clear body of deep orange has a slow swirling carbonation that supports a sticky thick beige head that last and last.

S- The amazing full green juicy hop aroma is floral with green pineapple, green cinnamon and spice qualities blended together. There is a nice caramel malt sweetness underneath for support.

T- the green bright pungent hops have a pine resin flavor that grows as the beer opens and a sight soapy flavor aswell. The sweet malt is present but stays underneath the hop flavors. The finish has a pungent bitterness that coats the throat after each sip.

M- The medium-light mouthfeel has a soft spicy fizz to it with a bit of alcohol heat in the finish.

O- This beer has a great aroma with lots of depth and a full hop flavor but not quite the complexity of the nose. The pungent bitterness tends to dominate more than the other hop flavors, but it still has nice flavor.

Bomber served cold into a New Belgium goblet.

Fresh Hop IPA is a light amber color with good clarity. The head is thick and slow to settle with great lacing left behind.

The aroma certainly lives up to its name. Very fresh and very hoppy.

Flavor is impressively bitter and hoppy. Lots of citrus with fresh orange zest and grapefruit. The malts stay in the background but work to give a bit of balance.

Mouthfeel is medium bodied and nicely carbonated.

I'm really enjoying this beer. It seems totally unexpected from New Belgium to make something this hoppy and to (finally) not have such a biscuity malt bill. Very nice.

22 oz. bottle poured into a tulip glass.

Appearance-Golden hue with a slight cast of orange and quite clear. Tall, sticky, cream colored head has solid retention and some nice lacing.

Aroma-Whoa, i caught intense hops as soon as I popped the cap off-pine, resin, grass, grapefruit, dried pineapple, and floral overtones are intense up front. Soft, white bread malt with a hint of honey and caramel. Some tropical fruit alcohol, and a bit of pungent green hop character in the background. Yum.

Flavor-Intensely resiny on the palate, yet somehow remarkably smooth. Slight bready malt sweetness gives way to fresh cut grass and piney resins, with just a touch of orange citrus gracing the background. Resin character lends the impression of intensity, but the hop bitterness is in reality only just above moderate in strength, and quite smooth. Aftertaste is herbal-spicy and pine tar resiny, with a touch of smooth bitterness which lingers on for ages.

Mouthfeel-Medium to medium full body, moderate to moderately high carbonation. Awesomely smooth bitterness with just a touch of alcohol warmth to remind you of the 7% ABV.

Wow, this is one of the best, and most interesting fresh hopped beers of the season in my opinion. The aroma is incredible, the flavor is incredible, the bitterness is subtle and smooth-this beer kicks some serious ass.
