Pours our a clear copper color with a massive fluffy head. Retention is nice as it settles down to a blanket of foam on top. Sticks to the glass as well.
The aroma is fragrant with floral and a hint of pine. Grapefruit, and sweet barley.
The flavor has everything you would want in an APA. A near perfect balance of sharp bitter hops and sweet barley. The pine notes from the hops linger a little with a dry finish.
Light bodied, mildly carbonated, and just refreshing.
Balance is the word for this Pale Ale. I must say the New Belgium Brewery has failed to disappoint me yet. They are damn good at this. I think I found a Pale Ale that is as delicious as Liberty Ale!
