Poured from a bottle into a stein glass.
Look – light amber color, clear, with decent carbonation and about half a finger’s worth of foam that dissipates quickly..
Smell – a fairly strong hop aroma, but one that seems hard to grasp. There’s also an odd fruit-like quality, almost like that of a pear or such…probably from the Nelson Sauvin hinted at on the label.
Taste – there’s the bitter taste of the hops that hits first, but then there’s also the pear or peach-like taste, again, probably from the Nelson Sauvin. The particular blend of hops probably also lends to the unique taste.
Mouthfeel – more toward the watery side of texture.
Overall – somewhat interesting in taste when one considers what’s hinted at on the label. The taste itself is ok, an odd blend of bitterness and sweetness and even still tanginess.
