Appearance: Brown amber glass shows clarity, struggles to hold even the hint of a halo. Looks pretty lifeless.
Smell: Not much here, a mild cinnamon with a light malt sweetness.
Taste: The cinnamon and clove are heavy and upfront, pretty much overwhelming all other flavors. A little chile heavy slowly fades after the shallow, actually burns a bit.
Mouthfeel: Thin body, light prickly carbonation actually makes it a bit fizzy, long oily finish.
Overall: Was thinking more of a Chocolate Stout when I approached this, but this is very much a Chile beer. Hot peppers with a little cocoa powder to add depth, but no sweetness to cut the burn. Very spice driven, unusual flavor profile, thin; but glad to have a little diversity.
