Bottle share at Proof thanks to jbruner. Clear pale yellow color with swirls of thin white head and a medium collar. Aroma is super grainey and light malt. Taste is very faintly grassy, and then some light malt sweetness. Not much else to this one. Thin watery body, light carbonation.

A: Pours an apple cider golden color with a thin white head. OK retention and slight lace.
S: Light barnyard aromas with some light stonefruit notes. Funk, pear, white peach, brett, hints of white wine and some sweet Belgian yeast notes. The sweetness is a bit much here, but this doesn't smell bad.
T: Doughy yeast, light pear, white pepper, some other unknown baking spices and lots of Belgian yeast. The finish is very sweet and the mouthfeel is almost buttery. The brett never really shows up to dry this puppy out and I wish it had. Saving the Lost Abbey one for a later date. Hopefully that one's better.

Poured from 22 oz bottle into tulip.
A: Pours a hazy lemon yellow with high carbonation producing a 1/2 inch white head. Good retention.
S: Farmhouse funk and bright citrus notes courtesy of the brett. White pepper and hint of Belgian spice.
T: Whoa...nose dive here. Watery and weak. Nothing like the aroma...which was fairly pedestrian to begin with.
M: Light body. A bit oily feel. Nothing special here either.
D: Not a very good offering here. Lost Abbey and NBB produced a bastardized beer. Not recommended.

On tap at Max's (from notes)
A: Slightly hazy blonde.
S: Yeasty, funk, and farmhouse.
T: Lots of farmhouse. Heavy and thick. Eh, ok. Horse blanket with a fair amount of saison flavor.
M: Decent carbonation with light bubbles.
O: Ok, but not at all what I was expecting.
Serving type: on-tap
