A - Slightly hazy golden apricot color. Average sized, light, bubbly, whispy, white head. Good retention leaving a ring of lace.
S - Really nice fruity aroma. Pineapple, grapefruit, mango, along with others jump out of the glass. Some bitterness accompanies that. Touches of caramel and toffee malt along with a pie crust aroma in the back.
T - Similar to the nose except the malt is a touch more prominent. Plenty of the fruity/juicy hops with a touch of pine (which comes out much more on the finish). Strong presence of caramel/toffee and graham cracker malt. They never take over the hops, but they definitely make their presence known. Nice bitter kick on the finish.
M - Medium to light body. Above average amount of carbonation. Wet and slightly prickly.
D - Easy to drink, well balanced DIPA. Alcohol is very well hidden. I had no trouble finishing the bottle and was left satisfied at the end.
Notes: Solid DIPA that drinks very easily. A bit maltier than I expected on the taste, but it isn't bad. Very good, nearing great (especially for the price) but not quite world-class. Worth picking up.
