A really impressive IPA.. ranks up there with the best. Pours a clear gold color with a big frothy head and thick rings of lacing. Head retention is very good.
Aroma is great. There is a mixture of piney hops, citrus hops and floral as well. The pine and floral are most prominent on the nose. Big strong aroma.
Flavor is very good as well. Dry hoppy bitterness, some pine and citrus with a big floral (simcoe?) presence. There is a malt backbone as well, provides some sweetness, but this is still a hop heads beer.
Mouthfeel is dry, crisp and bitter, for a hop head it goes down very easily. No indication of the high alcohol content either, just a great hoppy beer.
Top shelf brew, as good as most of the better Left Coast DIPAs.
