Imbibed at Harry's Hofbrau for their Lips of Faith Tap Takeover in 8/29/12
Clear, tawny, but not amber. Very clear, white head that laces uniformly down the glass. A bit spicy, citrusy, and some dankness thrown in for good measure. The hops are well balanced in this one. I can tell the malt is not very present but goes well with the hops. Perhaps just a stage for the hop aroma. Taste is very citrusy. Starts mild, like an English ale, then gets a little spicy (rye?), then gets bitter. Never too bitter, very balanced. Very smooth, would never think this is 9%.
Very good, but not typical alpine über quality. Still want to get a bottle or two.
Serving type: on-tap
