Pours nice golden color, two finger thick frothy head.
This is great smelling to me. Pineapple, apricots, hops. Citrus.
The taste is bitter up front then with a blast of hops and citrus or mango. Light resin. A lot going on here with the four different hops used (as per the bottle description). Any malt lay there lightly. Pine and citrus dominates. Nice work with the hop varieties used.
The pine lingers in my mouth. Starts sweet, finishes bitter/dry. Very easy sipping here, although the aftertaste is curious.
Overall, this is a brew I'd pick up again. I wish Alpine's lineup was normally distributed to Texas. The hops used are tasty, and even though it's a big beer it drinks easy for hopheads.
