Reviewed from notes.
Pours out a golden straw color with a half finger of cream colored head that lasts for over five minutes and leaves behind medium amounts of lacing on the glass. Crisp medium-light texture and carbonation levels with a nice extended finish duration.
Smells of orange zest, spice, pine resin, light amounts of garlic / onion, and just a touch of mango / turpentine. The flavor is bracingly bitter with a stab of grapefruit pith that transforms into a toasted cracker malt paired up with a storm of medicinal and herbal hopping with lighter amounts of citrus peel and Simcoe garlic garnishes in the finish. This brew is really a stellar example of how to properly utilize Simcoe in the correct proportion to enhance the other ingredients rather than dominate them. In this case, the herbal-Simcoe synergy creates something better than merely the sum of its parts. Worth trying.
