Poured from a 22 oz. bottle into a New Belgium stemmed globe glass
Pours a golden amber with orange hues topped with a two finger fluffy bright white head. Great head retention and a significant amount of splotchy lacing as the head recedes and the brew is consumed. The nose is dominated by grapefruit rind, tangerine, and a hint of mango. Opens with grapefruit rind bitterness and grassy notes, notes of mango & papaya midplate. Finishes a bit sweet with more tropical notes perhaps even a surprise hint of slightly green banana, and some warming alcohol and not much bite. A fairly evident heavy malt foundation, and a very silky, creamy mouthfeel give this brew an exceptional mouthfeel. I enjoyed this brew and it is one of the more successful collaborations I've had. I would have really liked a bit more bite on the finish.
