$8.59 for a 22oz bottle @ BevCo. Brewed with Pale malt, biscuit malt, peach juice, molasses, and lemon peel. Hopped with Goldings. Fermented with Brett. 9.4% ABV, 252kcal/12oz.
Pours out to a clear medium peach color, forming a tightly beaded off-white head with excellent retention and very nice lacing. Moderately carbonated, ~2.5 carbs, not too spritzy which is nice and my preference in a saison. The aroma is outstanding...boatloads of tropical fruits. I get peach, pineapple, and mango with a nice mild Brett nose filling it in. Mouthfeel is crisp, clean, medium-full bodied, slightly effervescent, with a crisp acidity and, unfortunately, a very metallic finish. The taste is a recap of the aroma, however there is a mild bitterness, a peculiar metallic note and some moderate sourness. Slight suggestion of oxidation with some faint cardboardy notes in the aftertaste.
An interesting beer. I wish it tasted as good as it smells, Still, this is a good beer, but New Belgium has a stellar reputation and I expected something a little better from them. The faults aren't overwhelming, but just throw it off enough that I'm not inclined to buy it again. Still, it's worth trying.

On-tap @ the River, Whole Foods Boise ID. Served in a tulip.
A: Semi-hazy straw gold, light lacing. Highly carbed it would seem.
S&T: Bready, light peach, hint of spice and funk, faintly tart, a 'hefty' dose of pilsner malt/grain. Faint honey, dry-ish body, Belgian yeast, more funk and banana.
MF: Lighter body, higher carbonation.
O: Really pretty disappointing, I had higher hopes for this one (peach is RIGHT IN THE TITLE, not in the beer apparently). For a saison I guess its ok, nothing special.
