A: This poured a cloudy mahogany with some light tan head.
S: It smelled like earthy caramel and copper, with some wheat bread and nutty malt, and a little dark fruit.
T: It tasted like earthy wheat bread and cocoa powder, with some copper hops and nutty malt, and a little dark fruit. It had a clean bittersweet aftertaste.
M: It was somewhat thick with lots of carbonation. Lively body.
D: This was an ok quad but not great. The scent and taste were kind of bland, and the body wasn't right for the style. The alcohol was hidden pretty well, and the finish was smooth, so it was at least easy to drink. Missing any unique character from the dates or coffee cherries. Not worth aging, and hardly worth trying fresh.

Brown to a reddish date like hue, this Quad presents itself nicely with a thick bubbly off brown head.

The scent is of Dates and a little cherry. Being that it is brewed with dates and cherries that makes sense. I got very little malt in the aroma.

The taste is of Dates and a little cherry. Being that it is brewed with dates and cherries that makes sense. See a pattern here. This beer really took the dates and cherries and made it it's own. Very little beer elements it was still better than average. Kind of a sweet alcohol aftertaste.

Overall, if this would have taken on more of a malt backbone and embraced some other Quad elements this would be much better.

Appearance: murky brownish color to this brew. Above average lacing on the edges of the glass. About a finger of head when delivered to the table but dissipated quickly and was only lightly present while drinking.

Smell: the nose is very one dimensional. Its mainly a spicy malt which isn't overly potent. Leaves room for other accents to pop up but nothing asserts itself. Some light fruits, banana and leafy greens.

Taste: did not expect this taste after the aroma. The front is wild yeast and earthy malt. That yields to a body or potent raisins and tobacco dryness. Riding throughout on the undertones is a fruity sweetness keeping the taste buds guessing. With all that going on, im not sure how well it all mixes together. Very distinct and sharp twists in the flavor. The finish is a funky malt which doesn't stick around long.

Mouthfeel: comes off slightly confused with so much going on here. Breads yeast stays out the most on the palette.

Overall: this isnt an elite beer but it is certainly a very interesting experience. Keeps the palette on its toes and does not bore the drinker. Definitely worth a try.

Well, I'll be. This one has a pink hue in the foam, which billows up nicely upon pouring, but settles to a collar with haste. Sticky lacing, sugary.

Aroma has a slight cherry cough syrup-ness to it. Some booze. Subtle sweet bread. Nothing powerful or interesting, really.

Flavor is cherry candy, too much of it. Sweet cherry and booze. Is this a quad or some sort of kriek? Perhaps a bit of spice from the yeast, but it is just beat up and left for dead. I can't get past the cherry. There are other flavors in there, but they are muddled.

Feels alright, still not zing or softness of some quads. One dimensional beer. Couldn't take this one, poured into the bushes.
