Notes/Commercial Description:
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant's finish is bone-dry.

Crystal light Golden orange with clean white head

Nose- fairly mellow but lush fruity aroma of, peach, mandarin, biscuity malt and pine

Taste- starts with soft warm yet punchy citrus- oranges (mandarins?), subtle pink grapefruit. then things soften out on the palate with lots of peach/stone fruit- peach is very present as beer warms a bit, some bready malt, finishes with a touch of bright lemon juice and nice pine

Feel- surprisingly light-bodied, almost watery

It's different, I like the variety of the Mosaic/Calypso hops and the stone fruit character on the palate. I think it lacks the depth and body needed for a great IPA. The stone fruit notes remind me of Deschutes Red Chair (which has delicious apricoty quality imo), but doesn't have the body or complexity of flavor to make it inspiring (maybe unlike Red Chair)

Sampled from a 12oz bottle dated Jul 7, 13. Thanks surge1311!

A light golden with good clarity and a small off-white head. Aroma is mostly piney with some grassy and earthy notes. The flavor follows with strong hop oils and flavors with a moderate bitterness. The hop oils give it a silky texture and the carbonation is moderately low.

This is a rich, flavorful beer but still very drinkable.

Pours a clear amber with a white head.

The smell is peaches, earth and leaves. Interesting smelling dipa.

The taste is peach, bitter hops, citrus and a little sweet malty backbone.

The mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation.

This really surprised me, I didn't expect much but it's actually a very good dipa and at a very reasonable price. I'd say this is my favourite New Belgium beer.

Pours a bright pale yellow orange mixture, maybe like a light brass color. Nice fluffy cream colored head that falls slow and laces very well. Nice looking brew.

Aroma is some sweet caramel malt with a good dose of pine, tangy citrus and hints of herbal minty notes.

Taste is almost more bready then caramel but seems to be hints of caramel. Hops are bright fresh without being over powering. kind of strange its mostly like a ranger but lighter. Strange a I2PA doesn't seem bigger or stronger then there regular IPA. But its not a bad beer.

Mouthfeel is medium with lightly peppy carbonation.

Overall not a bad beer or an IPA but just don't see myself buying this one again as there are plenty of great I2PA's available .

Picked up a single for a $1.99 at my local Whole Foods.

A: Poured pretty much a crystal clear orange color with an slightly off-white sticky head. Looks like an IPA.

S: Some pine cone fragments, crushed Flintstone vitamins, and some fresh clean linen. I'm diggin' it.

T: This was definitely in need of a bit more caramel at the core. Lots of hop bitterness wrapped up inside more than a hint of booze.

M: the carbonation was fine and I liked the fact that this wasn't a syrup bomb. Lots of lacing left on the glass and the hops stained the teeth.

O: Not bad, especially considering the price. They should have left this one unfiltered though.
