Notes/Commercial Description:
A burly and bitter Imperial IPA, Rampant pours a pure copper and carries the sheen of a rightly hopped beer. The Mosaic and Calypso hops bring stonefruit to the front seat, and the addition of Centennials nod towards citrus for a well-rounded aroma. The taste expands these hops with heavy peach tones and a profoundly bitter bite. There is some malt sweetness to stand this beer up, and Rampant's finish is bone-dry.

Nice to see this in BC. Big hop nose and mid gold colour . This is a solid DIPA that holds the ground between big hops and a strong malt backbone. Very drinkable but still assertive , I really enjoyed this beer ( much like a bigger version of Ranger). Not world class but still worth the purchase.

Pours a brilliant deep golden with a frothy ivory head that lingers.

Resin, dank hops, and cat urine form the initial aroma, with pine and an underlying grapefruit character adding depth.

Flavor reveals tart grapefruit, citrus pith, and toasted bread, finishing fairly bitter, resiny, and piney. Dank hop notes weave throughout. Earthy hops dominate the aftertaste.

Body is moderate to full, with fairly high carbonation and noted alcohol warmth.

Good beer, but not one that stands out. Not overly bitter, with good malt support. The flavoring hops are fairly diverse. Obviously not one of the more recent varieties of hops, though.

Pours out a brass color, with an almost still-looking body and a thin head. Hops are strong in the nose: very earthy and herbal. Smell some caramel malts as well. Flavor is obviously hop-forwarded. Hops, as in the nose, are earthy and herbal, with the NB house taste complimenting the hop character well. Malts taste of caramel and toasted bread. Mouthfeel isn't too thick. Carbonation helps to scrub up the sweetness and bitterness. Overall, this is a solid DIPA that is outside of what I normally look for in one.
