Poured from a standard pressure-cap bomber into a tulip glass in high elevation Kalispell, Mont. Reviewed live.
A- Finger and a half thick white head with active carbonation. Thick and fluffy looking, medium sized bubbles but poor retention. Sinks down to a thin floater in about 30 seconds. Cloudy orange-color body. Not a great looking beer.
S- Slightly spicy aroma, some peaches or apricots, a bit of a grassy florality and spice to it. Belgian yeasts make themselves present. Spicy and slightly booze quality.
T- Some fruitiness to it, definite spice from grains of paradise and grassy notes. Boozy with a hint of...oak...maybe. Something wooden. Interesting and complex beer, but not really for me.
M- Almost syrupy with a sticky, wet finish.
O- Not the best Lips of Faith has to offer.

Bottle from some shop.
Poured into a New Belgium / USA Pro Challenge goblet. Cloudy and opaque, orange-amber color, with a thin white head that receded to a tiny ringlet; a few dabs of lacing on the glass and perky carbonation rising from the bottom. Very little in the aroma, woody, with notes of Belgian yeast, overripe stone fruit. Pretty tasty actually, flavors of peach right up front, mingled with yeast and herbs, light pale malt sweetness, finishing off with a peppery spice, and a reprise of subtle, fresh peach. This beer sat in my fridge for quite a while, but I must say, it held up pretty well. Medium body, moderate carbonation, mouthfeel moving from fresh at the start to dry in the finish. Good brew.
