Served in straight pint glass. Poured a hazy, almost cloudy, pale gold, with about 1/4 inch of white head that had decent retention and good lace.

The aroma was mostly light pine, with some barely noticed floral notes, no malt, grain or yeast presence. Same dealio on the tongue yo! In addition to the pine, there was a weird, odd funk at the back of the palate. Not overpoweringly funky, just "off" enough to notice.

The body was decent enough, medium and smooth, with a dry finish. Drinkability was sort of a chore, that odd tang at the back made the beer less than pleasurable. Overall, I'd say you could probably safely skip this one. Or, try it and decide for your self. Either way really.

BBD of 08 Dec 13

Pours amber with tiny bubbles & 3+ fingers of ivory colored head. Near epic head retention & lacing

S: Faint floral hops & grassiness, plus tobacco

T: Leafy hops, dryness & a touch of tea tanins up front. A light touch of oranges & more leafy hops as this warms, a faint bit of grapefruit pith & aspirin. Finishes with faint leafiness, some grapefruit & dryness & some Earl Gray Tea

MF: Medium bodied, delicate carbonation & alright balance. Gets a bit watery as this warms

Not a great IPA, worth a try

bomber bottle, 09Dec13 on label, best before dating?

Pours heavily hazed medium apricot, under a long lasting and interesting looking lite tan head, goes to a small merainge and leaves all sorts of high sheeting and fields of thicker lace.

Lite grapefruit nose

Subtle and tasty. On the low end of the hop bomb scale, this one has elegence and grace and doesnt crush your senses. Notes of more pineapple with some mild piney hops. I like it, bring on the crusty bread, salads and cheese. This one went great with some ordinary cheddar I had lying around. NIce understated AIPA.

Appearance is hazy orange with thin white head and a bit of lacing. Nose is heavy on lemon zest and grapefruit. Notes of mango and sweet fruit also present. Taste is fruity up front with a considerable amount of sweetness for the style. Hops are fruity with some firm bitterness to follow. The flavor starts off very light and gains flavor towards the finish. Not a whole lot in the way of malt profile here. Mouthfeel is light with moderate to high carbonation. Overall, not a standout brew but decent enough flavors here.

A: pours a clear orange with two fingers of white head that fades into a thin layer with good lacing.

S: lot of grassy, floral, and herbal hop aromas here. There are also notes of pine and earthiness.

T: earthy hops dominate here with pine, ctrus rind, and herbal notes. There are also some floral flavors. The finish is lightly bitter.

M: medium body and carbonation, this beer is drinkable and avoids being watery or oily.

O: a solid IPA overall and with a pretty unique hop profile. I'd like a bit more pungency from the hops.

Interesting beer, surprised me coming from NB. Lighter mouthfeel and body than the usual IPA's, scented with the expected IPA hoppy pine smell but weakly, IMHO. This is a refreshing beer, I would like to have more of it. There is an interesting spice flavor in the aftertaste that I cannot quite identify, but it is complimentary to the flavor whatever it is.

I bought a bottle of French Aramis IPA in a grocery store. Poured in to a pint glass

Pours a shiny gold color, clear, with a thick and creamy white head.

Smell is decidedly floral, sweet scents like lemon blossom.

Taste is also sweet with a citrus flavor. Sweet lemon and pink grapefruit, not the pine flavor of a lot of IPAs.

Mouthfeel is thin and light. There is a dry bittersweet aftertaste.

Overall a nice IPA, light and dry, good for the summer. Not sure I'd seek it out again.
