12oz bottle poured into a SA perfect pint.
A - Solid layer of white head falls to a small cap. Brilliant clarity to this amber beer. Spotty bits of lacing.
S - Has a nice authentic pumpkin pie aroma. Nutmeg, mild cinnamon. Sweetness seems right on target. Alcohol sits modestly in the background.
T - The initial malt layer is mildly tart. Toasty at times but never getting sweet. A flash of some fruitiness, probably that cranberry talking here. Leaves some spice (clove) flavors.
M - Carbonation is medium-high, giving it a prickly feel. Medium-light body. Mild sweetness midway but dry finish.
O - Good looking beer with great aroma that was deceiving before the taste. A strange layer of acidity was pretty much throughout the whole taste with very little sweetness. Prickly carbonation and light body through me for more clashing (gourd flavored beer) loops. Not sure the direction or interpretation they were attempting but this ended up being a miss when it started so promising.
