Poured from a twelve ounce bottle into a pint glass.
The beer has a nice copper orange color and a healthy head. The head persists well and leaves a good lacing on the glass. Carbonation is apparent when looking at the beer, but it's not overly fizzy.
The smell is incredibly muted and I really had to search out different aromas. I got a bit of pumpkin and sweetness, but little else. Fortunately, the taste was fuller, offering some pumpking, some cranberry and a bit of nuttiness. There wasn't much in the way of spice and this was a welcome change from most other pumpkin beers.
There was a bitter dryness at the finish for this beer and that wasn't something I was crazy about. Also, the carbonation and thin body weren't what I look for in a beer. A bit too much like drinking a soda.
This beer is just okay and not something I'd have again, not even in the fall when pumpkin beers are all the rage.
