Appearance: Light orange with ok lacing. Looks nice in the the snifter. Definitely too thin for a pumpkin though.
Smell: Lots of nutmeg and not much else. Nice sweetness but too one-note.
Taste/Mouthfeel: More nutmeg. Very citrusy. Orange juice and rind are both present. Slightly acidic and sour. Probably the lightest mouthfeel of any pumpkin beer I've had.
Overall Drinkability: It's not that there is too much nutmeg, it's that there is really nothing but nutmeg. Reminds me of an extra-spiced Blue Moon.

A: A pretty hazy medium copper beer with an orange hue. My head is a thin raft of long lasting off-white bubbles but I don't know if how the glassware was cleaned could be at fault.
S: Medium pumpkin and caramel malt with some bread malt and spices supporting. There is a moderate fruit ester that much like the spice is complimentary and not oblivious as to the origin.
T: The malt and spice take the led at a moderate level with a blend of pumpkin, crystal malt and some fruit close behind. Some of the lemongrass and cranberry flavors a distinguishable with a light tartness. The spice and some hops bitterness provide the balance against the low malt sweetness. It's a dry beer with a dry finish and a spice aftertaste that mixes with some fruit and pumpkin.
M: Medium bodied with a strong level of carbonation.
O: A good example of a spice, herb, veg beer. A bit more to offer than the typical pumpkin with some interesting additions; I like that neither the spice nor malt took over to overwhelmed the flavors.

12 oz bottle. Pours hazy golden orange with a small fizzy white head that quickly goes to a thin collar.
The aroma is pumpkin spices (nutmeg, cinnamon) with some malt.
The flavor is some vegetative pumpkin and light spice (mostly cinnamon) with a bit of medicinal bitterness. I don't get much cranberry or lemongrass. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with low carbonation and is a bit watery.
Overall, a bit of a letdown. Might be better if they waited and used real pumpkin rather than releasing in July.

12oz brown bottle with a freshness date.
Bright amber color, good lacing all the way. Pumpkin, cranberry tannin, spice, bread, and a hint of alcohol in the nose. Solid smoothness, modest but noticeable spicing, pumpkin, light cranberry tartness, muted hops, bread, dry finish.
Pumpkick has a slight edge over the usual pumpkin ales ... the mild cranberry character and good use of spice is just that. Worth a go.

Reddish amber hued. Head is a couple of millimeters thick. Great clarity with this beer. Pumpkin, cinnamon, and nutmeg with a touch of cranberry following in the nose. The mouthfeel is moderate as their is some alcohol here, but it is pretty smooth considering all of those ingredients. I get the pumpkin and cinnamon on the palate. At the back I get the spiciness of cinnamon and perhaps from the hops I get the pinpricks on the tongue. I get just shiny of cranberry in the aftertaste. It was used subtly and that was wise. I like a but more pumpkin flavoring in my pumpkin beers, but it's a good brew.

Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a New Belgium Globe glass. Bottle says best before 16th of Feb, 14.
Appearance: Pours a deep caramel amber orange with a lot of rising bubbles. About one finger of off white head that fades into a thin patchy layer. Leaves a decent amount of lacing around the glass.
Smell: An earthy pumpkin aroma with hints of spices along with berries and citrus. Upfront earthy hints of pumpkin. Fall spice hints including cinnamon, nutmeg, clove, and allspice. Juicy hints of the cranberries and lemon come through. Bready malt with hints of sweet caramel, toffee, biscuit, grains, and yeast. Subtle earthy hop hints. A pretty solid and interesting aroma.
Taste: Like the aroma, a solid earthy taste of pumpkins along with notes of fall spices and added fruits. Upfront taste of pumpkins. Mix of spices including notes of cinnamon, clove, nutmeg, and allspice. Fruity taste of cranberries along with some lemongrass. Pale malts with notes of sweet caramel, toffee, grains, biscuit, and yeast. Earthy hop notes linger in the background. A pretty nice taste.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with a moderate amount of carbonation. Juicy, spicy, and fairly drying and smooth.
Overall: A pretty solid twist on a pumpkin ale. The added fruits mix well with the pumpkin and spices.
