12 oz bottle served in a Belgian snifter. Stamped (best by) 23 Feb. 2014.
Pours quite light, true to the white IPA claim, with a lighly hazed golden-yellow body and an undersized head. Leaves spotty lacing.
Nothing light about the aroma or flavor; instead, this beer packs a solid load of citrus hops. Seems to have a slight tart note along with a somewhat restrained bitterness. Some bready underpinnings from the malts add to the nice mix of fruity flavors.
O: a great beer to pair with say, a schwarzbier, to show people that light beers are not always light and dark beers are often not strong.
