While in Ft.Collins, I usually like to visit both New Belgium and O'Dell. New Belgium has a great atmosphere that is surrounded by a younger crowd. I took my 2 year old son with me along with my fiancée who rarely drinks and she pointed out how friendly the staff was. The bartenders were slammed but always seemed to find me along side the taps when I needed a refill. If they don't have what you're looking for on tap, they have it in bottles neatly tucked away in a clear cooler. All in all I have nothing bad to say about New Belgium's tap room. Friendly staff, decent prices, great service and a hell of good beer. (620 characters)

Not a fan of any of their offerings that day. Had an industrial feel to the place which I find uncomfortable. Friendly folks but the brew was lacking. (150 characters)

I lived in Fort Collins and watched this brewery grow from infancy... So I have always been a fan. But... I think the quality has gone down as they have grown ( this may not be a favorite opinion but it is an honest one)..The service has diminished a bit . ( I think with the influx of hipster pourer comes entitlement and snobbynish that wasn't seen in days of old). And so it goes.....
If in town go for bike in movies. And most definitely attend fat tire fest at least once in your life.. (492 characters)

Amazing tour of the brewery. I would recommend this to anyone traveling nearby. The tour guides had amazing stories about the foundation of New Belgium and the names behind their beers. The taps that are offered are endless with a style and flavor for every beer enthusiast. I will definitely be going back. (307 characters)

As a native of the Fort, New Belgium was truly my gateway into craft beer. The dominant brewery in Fort Collins, world-famous, progressive, and just about THE cultural landmark in town. It is the epicenter of many popular events, and simply a ubiquitous trait. Not to put too fine a point on it, this place, in many ways, IS Fort Collins.

The grounds of the brewery are all too CO; carefully manicured xerisacping greets you from the tiny, tiny parking lot. Large red doors bring you into the brightly lit tasting room. The large, winding bar moves down the length of the tasting room, with several tap outlets. Expect this place to be standing-room only, especially on the weekends, packed to the brim with tourists and trendy locals. The constantly rotating roster of tap-meisters can make your individual experience tasting different each time, but most are friendly, chatty and will talk about the beer you're drinking.

The tour is great. You can take beer with you as they lead you all over the brewery, from the grain towers, to the stunningly gorgeous brew kettle room, to the bottling line. The tour is a must for first-timers, and sometime you can taste beers that are yet-to-be-released (ooooh, exclusive!).

The beer, unfortunately, I find to be consistently average. Few standouts include their Belgian-style staples; Abbey, Tripel and 1554 which have all been around since their opening, and they represent the original, low-key style of brewing New Belgium used to do. Flavorful, uni (1,499 characters)

New Belgium Brewery tour is the most fun I've had on a brewery tour. They have a sample of beer at every turn and even experimental beers available. Very fun and I will go again! (178 characters)

My wife and I spent an AM touring the New Belgium Brewery tour in Fort Collins, CO while on a road trip through Colorado. They're pretty anal retentive about their tours (tickets ahead of time, very strict on timing, etc.) but they do give a very decent look at the brewery... lots of samples given out en route (looking forward to seeing what they do with those sours!) and as just about everybody knows they make a high quality product. They also have a nice bar/tasting room on the first floor where you can sample a ton of their brews. We'd have stayed to drink longer but it was an AM tour and we had to do a fair bit of driving (unfortunately those 2 activities are mutually exclusive). Would definitely stop in again for a few brews. The staff were all friendly/informative, and they're pretty darned proud of those bikes! All around quality establishment. And yeah... great beer. (899 characters)
