Review from BeerAdvocate Magazine Issue #46 (Nov 2010):
The head reaches high and drapes a thick lacing in its wake; cloudy pale-golden color is spot-on. Fresh-cut grass, green bananas, nutty yeast and vague spice show off a unique aroma. Grainy with a yeasty undertone; relatively dry, though the malt tries to stick to the palate. Lemony orange pulp, wildflowers and more of that vague spice push against the grassiness. Some hoppiness here--pleasant bitterness with a leafy linger. An eclectic take on the style, it's drinkable and flavorful even though it jumped outside the box.

Appearance: minimal head, cloudy, orange-brown in color
Smell: orange, lemon, and wheat
Taste: orange, lemon, light coriander, and wheat
Mouthfeel: sweet with a bitter backbone, medium bodied with moderate carbonation.
Drinkability: Slightly above average wheat beer. Not a bad beer, but nothing I would go out of my way for either.

Review from notes 1/22/11.
A: Slightly hazy yellow with a one finger head that dissipated quickly. Small floaties as well. Not overly impressive.
S: Slightly metallic, a little bit of banana and spices.
T: Sightly sour, more banana here than on the aroma. Slight spiciness and grassiness as well.
M/D: Light bodied with lively carbonation. An average hefe, its pretty good but not amazing.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a mug glass.
A: The beer is a bright yellow color with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a spotty lace on the glass.
S: The aroma contains wheat, citrus, light caramelized malts and a little bit of hops.
T: The taste starts out with mildly sweet flavors of citrus a light malt character. Then some breadiness comes in from the wheat. The hops presence is mild and there doesn’t seem to be much balance. The after-taste is slightly bready.
M: Crisp and a little smooth, light-to-medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, decent representation of style, there are several other beers in the style that I would drink before this one.

22oz bottle purchased at Ryan & Casey Liquors, Greenfield, MA.
Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1/2" white head over the slightly cloudy burnished golden brew. Head falls quickly to a layer of small bubbles, with fleeting lace. Aroma is sweet wheat and earthy hops.
Taste starts sweet, exhibits the usual banana/clove wheat flavor in the middle, albeit somewhat muted, closes with light to moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is average, but has a chalky aftertaste, and drinkability is alright as well. Nothing terribly exciting here.

Poured out an extremely hazy golden yellow. A decent amount of head that dwindled quickly but left a ton of bubbles. Very carbonated. The nose has a strong lemony, a little banana/grass aroma. Also a malty sweetness. The taste is tangy and lemon/grass. Very crisp with a light body. The wheat is very pronounced which gives a good refreshing taste. Goes down smooth with a good zest and tingle at the base of your palette.

A pasty white light and bubbly 1 finger head rises and quickly vanishes, over a mostly hazy golden wheat color.
The nose brings some light malts, some wheat as well, slightly toasty, a light crisp lager, light banana and citrus, and the onset of a funky contamination in the background. This is the second one of theirs I have gotten that was just starting to go bad, and I got these about 2 months ago... AND it's been in the fridge almost the whole time.
The taste also has just a touch of contamination on the way, but the beer itself is clear enough to drink. It has some light crisp lager flavors, some wheat, light malts, toasty, slightly citrus and a hint of banana. Somewhat chewy and lots of wheat, more than should come from a 4.8% summer wheat beer.
More syrupy and heavier than I expected for a wheat at 4.8%, but decent carbonation.
It finishes somewhat sweet, never gets the dryness it needs for a wheat like this, slightly sticky, and lots of wheat flavors lingering. A touch of citrus here and slightly chewy.

Solid near-white head. Leaves some blanket lace on the glass. A very light haze to the otherwise deep gold color.
The aroma reminds me of souring milk and spent unmalted grains.
The grainy taste is the strongest flavor, but there's some milk. Very thin body. I don't detect any wheat. It comes across like a poorly made homebrew.

Poured from the 22oz. bottle into a weizen glass.
The color is a cloudy orange with about a finger or two of foamy white head and no lacing.
The smell has a nice bready flavor. Some sweet malt and a little toasty flavor as well.
The taste is sweet with a nice malty flavor. Some banana and a slight hint of clove. Some slight yeast flavor goes of at the end and give a little tangy flavor.
The beer is light and really refreshing. It is pretty drinkable and is light in body and makes for a great beer to have in the summer.

Purchased a 22 oz. bottle straight from the brewery. Poured into a pilsner glass.
A- A cloudy, pale yellow. Little head that doesn't last at that.
S- Crisp summer flavors. Citrus, slight nutmeg and coriander, fresh cut flowers
T- Clean, Crisp. Maltiness outweighs the hops by a ton, but that is expected for this style.
M- Very refreshing, and in-line with the standard for a wheat ale.
D- Easy drinking beer. It's nice and light. It wouldn't hurt if this one was a bit more heftier, but overall, It's one I would visit again for sure.

Poured a 22oz bomber into a pint glass. No bottled on date, have no idea how fresh this is.
Straw yellow color, a bit clear for a hefe though. Decent foamy white head.
Smell was lemon/citrus, and very yeast/bready as well. Not too overpowering but right in line with style.
Taste was more wheat/yeast dominated, not overly flavorful though. Some lemon and banana notes, with very very mild spice. Had a bit of a metallic/astringent taste up front, however as it warmed this seemed to go away. Extremly drinkable and light. Pretty significant ammount of carbonation.
All in all a decent beer, something that would go well with a heavy meal because it is so light and non-filling. A bit light on flavor and body for my liking. A run of the mill summery beer, wont go out of my way to drink it again though.

I poured this from a 22oz. bomber.
The appearance is light and not as cloudy as I expected it to be. Light, pale straw color with a white foamy head with large, frothy bubbles.
The nose was slightly toasty, with a fairly sweet aroma. It shows hints of lemon and banana. I thought the aroma was pretty but still a little on the light side for me.
The mouthfeel was what really disappointed me. It lacked something and felt slightly watery in my opinion. The carbonation was the strongest component which can be nice, but the body was just missing balance.
Overall, it's an acceptable summer beer, but not one I would revisit on my own will. I wouldn't turn it down at a party, but I also wouldn't bring it.

S: Wheaty and a bit or citrus.
T: Crisp, wheat, lemon, slight orange
M: Smooth and crisp. Not a lot of carbonation.
D: very drink able on a hot summer day after work.
This is an average wheat beer.

Slight haze, light gold colour with a fluffy white cap (about 2 inches worth). Clumpy lace, fair head retention. Odd aroma. Spicy, not just straight-up cloves, but more of an earthy nutmeg character. Floral with a pungent sweetness that had a citrus edge. Slight grainy aroma as it warmed. The label claims a banana and clove flavour, but I'm not getting it. Lemon citrus and tart up front, followed by fruity sweetness. Light spice in the finish, but again not really of the clove variety. Very high carbonation (overcarbonated in my opinion), dry, and light to medium bodied. This was a complete mess of a hefeweizen - I wouldn't have even guessed that was the style they were going for if it wasn't clearly stated on the label. It smelled and tasted more like SweeTarts candy than a traditional hefe. If you disregard the style classification, it wasn't bad - kind of refreshing and fruity.

While in Boston this past weekend, picked this up over on Charles.
Appearance is a hazy orange with a two finger head on the first pour. The smell has orange, candy, wheat. While the taste has more wheat, I also get a doughy bread aspect and some banana. MF is good, this easy going beer is well balanced. A nice, refreshing beer that is proper for the summer season. We started off our Saturday night with this beer and even my friend`s GF who does not drink much beer, enjoyed it.
