I poured this bottle into a pint glass. Served cool.

This beer looks ruddy for a body almost rust colored and cloudy. The head is off-white.

The beer smells first like grass then tropical fruit some citrus and some pine. There's a faint grain smell as well.

There is a very nice complex back-and-forth action between sweet grain flavor and Fruit. The beer finishes with a very nice pine alcohol and fruit stone burn.

Medium to low carbonation

Overall this is a very nice double IPAA certainly something that is different from what is already out there on the market certainly worth a try and actually very drinkable

I keep buying their beers hoping they will get better, now in a can, at least that's cool, no date, but picked up a week ago.

Pours a smaller fizzy head that flashes over quickly but leaves some lacing, hazy dark orange slight chestnut brown color.

Nose isn't too bad, some hops bringing a little earth and pine, mild candied orange peel citrus, a bit of a mossy forest floor earth, a big sweet malty base with little caramel and toasy reddish malts, little candy like too, and hints of booze waft out.

Taste starts with the sweet malt kick, candy like sweet malts, toasty reddish malts, little caramel almost syrup, and some mild warming tingly booze with that. Then hops, again that earthy hop character at first, mossy forest floor but not a ton of that or pine, a mild candied orange peel again, and citrus zest. The hops turn a bit spicy and chewy as it goes, towards the finish the hops turn a little bit of a stale oil character, but mostly bitter spicy chewy hops, as the finish dries it gets quite spicy and chewy and almost astringent bitter, and a bit of a sticky feel lingering.

Mouth is med to a big bigger bod, mild warming tingly booze, decent carb a little on the lighter side though.

Overall not bad, pretty average when it comes to a DIPA as far as hops and malts go, but a decent balance and nice characters, hops are def not my fav, but this beer isn't too bad. Maybe the problem with the beers I've been having is freshness instead of quality, but maybe not. Maybe they turned a new leaf and trying to improve, not quite sure, but I'll try another one next time I'm in the area and see what I think then.

I'm not really impressed by this one. The smell was exciting and made me look forward to the grapefruit flavor and floral hops only to be hit with a very strong malty bitterness and bite. I do however like how this feels as it rolls over my tongue.

A- Orange and heady with a nice cloud.
S- Fruity sweet grapefruit smell.
T- Bitter bite and with a malty following and small hint of grapefruit.
M- After the initial bite the feel rolls over your tongue and leaves a carbonated feeling.
O- Not too impressed. I feel like the grapefruit isn't hitting in the right place and that it's not as balanced as it should be for being such a strong beverage.

Cheers.

Poured into a tulip glass from a 22oz bottle.

Pours a hazy and cloudy orange with some golden hues. Nice amber notes are perceived as well. A huge 2 inch head forms from a fairly gentle pour. The head is nice and dense and quite sticky. Retention is amazing.

Aroma of some tropical fruit notes mixed in with some pine. There is a nice fresh grassy aroma to it as well with some woody notes, cedar maybe. Citrusy hop juices are present in the nose with some more prominent sweetness from the malts.

Flavor starts off with some pungent citrusy and piney hops. The balance between citrus and pines is there. Abrasive but also quite herbal. There is an underlain tropical fruit note that adds some sweetness. Taste somewhat like Mosiac hops. Pretty yummy and approachable. Nice caramel notes mixed with the hops, awesome bready as well. Mouthfeel is medium with nice dry bitterness.

Good lasting head. Starts with a blanket of lace and ends with spotty lace. The color is amber and clear.

More malty than almost every IPA/DIPA offering I've had. Lots of caramel to the nose. Oddly, I smell milk (lactose?). Blindfolded I think I'd guess a British Mild.

Creamy texture with the aforementioned milky aspect to the taste. I'm not sure where the hop is. It shows up, but only for balance. Lots of caramel with a touch of sweet syrup and earth. Full bodied and lowly carbonated.
