A: Pretty darn good for an irish pub in america. Hard wood floors in the front, nice big bar, and irish stuff all over the walls. Back patio is nice for summer nights.
Q: Good stuff on all points.
Service: Servers & bartenders know their stuff. No complaints.
Selection: The standard irish pub setup. A nice variety from the eastcoast as well.
Food: Irish bar fare. No big surprises, but yummy by all means.
Overall: I spent an internship in the winston/salem area for a few months. This was the only irish pub I hit up while there, and came back a few times. It reminded me of the pub I had at Purdue (9 irish bro's), and it honestly made me feel nostalgic.

What can i say this is the best place in Winston for food and drinks period. 40 beers on tap makes it the most in Winston Salem. The food is great, nice healthy sized portions and the servers are easy on the eyes. Rogue Hazelnut is my personal favorite. If that wasn't enough they have the best Scotch Whiskey selection i have ever laid my eyes on in a bar. Come out on any given Friday or Saturday night for some great tunes by a lot of local artists...did I mention there is never a cover. Oh and check out the daily specials...I mean a Baby Guinness for $4 on a Friday night. That's the way to start a good weekend!! You have the late night hunger? Finns is the only place on Trade Street that serves food EVERY night until 2am. Stop by any day of the week for a laid back happy hour with friends, delicious dinner with the family or a partying good time with your friends. Did I mention 40 BEERS ON TAP!!!

I have been to this place countless times but have yet to review it. It is really nice inside with hard wood floors and a nice, big bar. There is also a nice patio outside that is great when the weather is nice. They have about 10-15 taps featuring imports like Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, Tucher, Magners Cider, and sometimes Belhaven Scottish Ale and Old Speckled Hen. They also have plenty of craft beers such as Dogfish Head 60 min., Brooklyn East India Pale Ale, Skull Coast Dead Man's Porter, Foothill's seasonal, and some others I can't remember at this time. They have a pretty good bottle list as well featuring some other imports including Orval and craft beers as well. They also have a good selection of Scotch and Irish Whiskey. The service is always pretty good. The only negatives are that the menu is small and my wife and myself have gotten sick eating there before. It is also a bit pricey. Pints start at $4.50, but sometimes they run specials. They were the first place in town I remember having $4.50 pints which even today I think is just a little high. Overall, I think this is a good place to go have some beer with friends especially when the weather is nice and you can sit on the patio.

Stopped by for lunch. Nice looking pub. Cool decor, plenty of seating. Much of the seating is right up close to the bar. Food was way above average for a pub. I got a steak sandwich with fries, and both were done perfectly. My friend got the fish sandwich and liked it alot. They had a pretty good beer selection. Of course they carried the usual Irish staples, such as Harp, Guinness, Smithwicks, etc. They also had some taps from Brooklyn, Highland, and to my surprise, Sweetwater! I had heard that they were coming to the Piedmont sometime soon, but this is the first I had seen of it. I got the Brooklyn IPA while I was there. Good stuff. Had a decent bottled selection as well. Saw some from Rogue, Young's, Samuel Smith's, etc. I plan on returning here, and I recommend you give this a try as well.
[Edit - 2013] - This place has really picked up the slack and now offer 40 taps! Lots of good beer here, not just the typical Irish staples. Locals represented, but many other good offerings as well. Some I haven't seen on draft anywhere else in town. Much better selection!
