Served in tulip glass on tap from Pinocchio's in Media PA.
This was a very hazy orange/brownish IPA which, IMO wasn't what I expected for a double, I think it was WAY darker and hazier than I would've expected.
However looks can be deceiving and in this case it certainly was.
While the scent of your typical DIPA exists, with citrus, hops, pine and some extra fruitness.
Grapefruit evidence quickly to the taste and the extensive dry hopping is noticeable as it leaves the palate with a dry nature while the mouthfeel does it's work leaving it full bodied.
It is an excellent but not terrific DIPA, I'd drink it again but it's not at the top of my list due to the caramel sweetness and otherwise not overly memorable other variables outside of the good job of dry hopping.

Lower level on the Double IPA rung. Appearance is average. Not a whole lot going on in the nose. Nothing really pleasing about the taste of this beer. Unfortunately, just not a memorable Imperial IPA. Quite boring. Many, many better choices. Will not buy again.

Poured from a bottle into a shaker pint, the beer is a vibrant, slightly hazy, copper coloring, with a steady flow of carbonation and a thin, low profile, white head. The aromas are sticky resin forward, solid tart and sweet grapefruit, pineapple, and tangy caramel in the backbone. Flavors are tropical fruit forward, with a solid dose of pineapple and grapefruit, followed by hints of booze, pine pitch, evergreen highlights, and a heavy hand of dank resin. The body is robust, with a slight edge from the carbonation. Tangy and resinous aftertaste, balanced throughout, with a slick, slightly oily, slightly lingering finish. There is a build to the hops profiles as you drink. Solid brew.
