"Formerly known as Früh Bock
Our seasonal "Spring bock" captures the promise of warmer days ahead, combining a slight malty sweetness with a refreshing touch of citrus aroma from its noble Bavarian hops. The result is an amazingly fresh, crisp beer with smooth character. Perfect to enjoy on the block!

Clean and refreshing. The malts and hops are perfectly balanced. It's complex and simple at the same time. I'm very fortunate to live near this brewery!

Poured on draft, 1/2 pint glass, little head formation.
L- Golden amber, notable carbonation. Little lacing.
S-Citrus on the nose, slightly floral, nothing super pronounced.
T-Less citrus than the nose, more floral. Bright, slight booziness.
F-Fairly thin body, and mouthfeel, crispy, notable carbonation.
O- Bright crisp beer, definitely a transitional season beer. winter-->spring. Drinks lighter than the ABV. Decent for the style, worth a try.

Clear golden amber color. No head, but thin white lacing around the glass. A bit sweet, but has body to support it with a good caramel, biscuit malt to it. Sometimes when I have a bock it's very sweet but thin and watery, this one is well done though.

Pours a dark gold with medium carbonation. Mine may have been a little old and oxedized but it was still delicious. A pilsner on steroids.

On tap at Carolina Beer Company in Charlotte International Airport.
This one pours a dark golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like freshly cut grass, honey malt, and light breadiness.
This is really well balanced all around, and makes for a great bock. There's a nice and traditional malt character- with toasted bread and some light honey sweetness, and a subtle and appropriate grassy hop character.
This is light bodied, crisp and really clean tasting, with a very high level of drinkability.
I don't drink a ton of maibocks, as most American breweries wouldn't know how to make one. I knew that these guys would make a good one, though.

Pours golden. Short, thin, foamy white head fades fast.
Smells caramel and bready malt, light fruit and light grassiness.
Tastes Caramel, bready, light citrus, grassiness, hints of herbal quality and a refreshing bitterness. Finish is dry with bitter linger and hints of malt. Fades quickly lighter body and fizzy medium carbonation.

12 oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Clear golden orange, one finger head that retains for a little while before receding to a 2mm foam lace. Floral hops and bready malt on the nose, and exactly that in the taste. Carbonation is medium, crisp and clean feel with a slightly bitter finish. Fans of the style will have to give this a go. Another solid offering from OMB.
