2006 release - 12oz bottle.
Poured into a pint glass. Pours a dark amber color with a nice beige head.
The nose is malt and raisins. A great fruit presence to it and a little spice.
A great caramel taste to it. The raisin is more toned down and replaced with vanilla and spices. Definitely taste like a winter beer. I was shocked to see that this beer was 6.9% alcohol too. I didn't pick up on it at all.
Not an amazing beer but a very drinkable one. I wouldn't mind having a case of this lying around to get through the cold winter.
