Drinking my first CANNED beverage from AVBC and I am excited!!!
Easy pour on this brew with a darker than expected copper color. There is little associated head to the pour and it quickly yields to minimal lacing.
Mellow nose, with some hints of spicing. Nutmeg? Clove? Basil? Bay leaf? Who knows, but there is definitely something in there.
The beer lives up to its cream claim on the mouthfeel. smooth and creamy light ale lilts on the palate with consistent bubbleage.
A unique taste to this beer. Reminiscent to other cream ales I've tried, but inferior to Lagunitas SIRIUS. Too light in malt character to match the creaminess. Perhaps there was a straight lagering finish to this brew as is sometimes the case with cream ales.
Decent drinkability, though I imagine I would want something a little more substantive for a long session.
