Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a weizen glass showing a cloudy amber hue. This cream ale sported a slightly eggshell in color head which laced quickly. A sweet smell with undertones of honey and spices.
On sip you get a well balanced beer which is also light yet still flavorful. No one attribute is more prominent than any other with a moderate body and velvety texture. Very refreshing and smooth.
A well rounded and easily drinkable beer perhaps more timely for a nice summer afternoon rather then the brisk winter I find myself reviewing it in.
As this is noted a seasonal beer I can only imagine that it has been sitting on the beer store shelves for quite some time - as a reviewer below mentioned, this beer may have mellowed quite a bit from when it was first bottled - unfortunately I did not notice a date. I'll definitely have to try this again in the summer.
