Purchased a 6pk at Wegmans in Warrington, PA
Poured into and enjoyed in a DFH Pint Glass
A - Pours a rather cloudy, hazy golden-honey color. A massive 3 finger, thick, foamy head on the initial pour. One of the densest heads I've seen when pouring a beer. Huge amounts of sticky lacing coat the glass after drinking.
S - A sweet aroma with a good dose of the classic citrus smell.
T - An IPA that is well balanced yet leans to the maltier, sweet side. The citrusy, slightly bitter hops add a great balance to the beer. I'm also getting an apricot taste (very reminiscent of DFH's Aprihop). Not a hop bomb at all which is how many IPA's are leaning these days. The alcohol is barely noticeable. Very easy drinking.
M - Medium carbonation. A medium consistency.
O - This is a fine example of an American IPA. I'm a hop head but this beer is so easy to drink and is so tasty, it's a pleasure to give the taste buds a rest from the bitter onslaught that I'm used to with the IPA's I usually gravitate towards. Recommended.
