The first bottle that I poured of Hop Ottin' went all over my kitchen counter. I wasn't expecting the carbonation. The second I poured a little easier and ended up with a large white, foamy head with the usual lacing of a good hoppy IPA.
The aroma is almost completely one of hops with some hints of spices that seemed to be coriander-like. The taste was just what I had hoped for: a true hop wonderland. The hops overwhelmed just about every other taste. Although, there was a little nuttiness to the beer and maybe some fruit like dates or currants.
This felt great in the mouth, very peppery and crisp. A real drinkable American IPA that deserves everything good that I had heard about it.
