This brew pours a dark, black/brown color and when held up to the light some red(garnet) can be seen. There is a thin mocha colored head and light lacing.
The smell is heavy roasted malts, chocolate, oats and coffee.
The taste is heavy on the roasted malts then the chocolate comes in. There is just enough hop bitterness in order to prevent this brew from becoming too sweet.
The feel is silky smooth with no aftertaste.
Overall this is a good oatmeal stout. Heavy on the burnt/roasted malt taste almost to the point of distraction but I would drink this again.
