This poured reddish-brown out of a 12 ounce bottle and into a 14oz beer mug. The head was minimal and no lacing appeared on the sides of the mug (though for an amber ale, not much is expected.)
The smell was very mild and sweet.
The taste is initially very mild and a tad watery, but it finishes with a huge flavor that tastes of freshly baked soft bread and slight caramel malt notes. The taste is clean, but leaves the mouth feeling like it's still full of beer.
The mouthfeel is a little thin, but this beer goes a long way in the drinkability department: I could see myself enjoying quite a few of these on a summer's porch, or in the autumn after raking.
