Appearance: Amber (about a 19.5 SRM), three finger off-white soap bubble head, beautiful lacing, steady carb.
Smell: Good roasted malt, honey, light fresh dark fruits, caramelized sugar, spices (maybe warming spices: cinnamon, clove, nutmeg)
Taste: Big malts, doughy, herbal hops, warming spices come through stronger, fresh plum, caramelized sugar, earthy-woody-smoky (kind of a "whisky" taste). Nice full body, backbone hop bite. Good yeasty/malty linger.
Final Thoughts: A very nice beer. I was a little iffy buying it because I hadn't ever heard of the company but their labels would have you believe they are as well known as Sam Adams or something. But it worked out, and I'll keep an eye out for them again. Buy this one, it's good.
