Poured from can while eating lunch at Whole Foods (yes they allow you to purchase and drink on premise in Oregon!).
Poured a nice amber/brown hue with very good head, though faded quicker than I thought. Decent lace.
Great nose with lots of red fruit, earth, malt, and spice. A lot going on for an amber. On the palate it is confirmed: malt dominates with mild, tart red fruit, earth, and hay with a little spice. Pretty complex! Not over the top as far as alcohol or hops.
Texture is balanced with a decent, but short-ish finish. A great sipping amber and one that is a great yardstick to measure other amber ales against.

This is one of my favorite beers. This brew is incredibly refreshing. Though it isnt the easiest to pour from the tap, the appearance is amazing. It is a nice dark amber color. The head floats atop- an aesthetically pleasing addition. When it hits my mouth I think caramel. The toasted carmel hops are prime. It is a first class amber ale that all should experience.
