Pours a dark clear ruby amber with a medium beige head. Aroma is of mild pumpkin, nutmeg, some cinnamon spices, notes of caramel malt become more prevalent as it warms up. Taste similar to aroma with some mild bitterness. A medium body with moderate carbonation on the palate. Caramel malt, pumpkin, nutmeg and mild cinnamon spices and mild bitterness on the end. Not as cloying and overly sweet as some other pumpkin brews, but nothing really stellar either. Overall an ok drinking brew for a pumpkin brew.

A perfectly respectable Pumpkin Beer, poured into a Straffe Hendrik Chalice.

L: A lovely autumnal amber, fading to orange at the edges. Decent lacing, good head retention.

S: Spices (clove, nutmeg, allspice), earth, leather, a faint hint of caramelized pumpkin. Delightful.

T: Spicy, with a decent hit of pumpkin. Warm earth and smoked malt. Not over-the-top with its spices, nor overbearingly artificial with the pumpkin, not cloying. Minimal hop presence, as appropriate for the style.

F: Soft and silky, light carbonation. Not too syrupy.

O: A good exemplar of a much-maligned style, although not something to seek out.

This is one of the last pumpkin beers I purchased. Since tomorrow is the official end of pumpkin season I plan on finishing the big boys then. But tonight I tried this one.

Appearance: Dark bronze color almost a brown. Decent amount of head but relaxes to a thin layer.

Aroma: Sweet malts and pumpkin pie spices.

Taste: Honestly, I am getting tired of this style and now that I have pretty much discovered what I like or don't like in a pumpkin beer I doubt I purchase many if any next year. Anyway, this is one of the better tasting ones, and I might be giving it a lower review than I have others in this category, but I have had so many good stouts lately that just blow this style out of the lake.

Overall: For the style this one is a better beer. It blends just enough of the spice and just enough pumpkin flavor to make it work. I do suggest it, but in limited quantities.

Copper-ambaer colour, with a big head and big lace that never seem to vanish. Smell of fruits and spices, smoked, pepper, cardamom. Medium to light body, soft palate. Taste of cardamom, smoked touch, pepper, fruits, caramel.

Not expecting a whole lot from this pumpkin beer, with spices from a brewery that makes meh beers in general.

Pours a smaller 1/2 finger fizzy airy head that surprisingly sticks around for a while, nice lacing too, a clear but dark colored mahogany brown slight ruby hue.

Nose brings baking spices out front, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, all spice I think, perhaps a pinch of nutmeg but hard to tell that even, sweet candy malt, with caramel toffee, and syrupy aromas, a mild biscuit note, a light pumpkin note, sweet pumpkin pie like but just a little. The spices, while dominant, aren't overpowering, so far at least.

Taste starts with tons of toffee and caramel syrup, a doughy bread and biscuity crust like character, as well as cookie, with plenty of ginger bringing a gingerbread cookie flavor with icing. Mild pumpkin note, very little actual pumpkin, and more baking spices, again touch of cinnamon and cardamom, perhaps all spice and others but not sure. A rich creamy almost chewy like syrupy base malt with fair sweetness, and a touch of bitterness mostly from the spices. Finish is sticky sweet, a touch dry, little syrupy taste lingering, more baking spices, gingerbread, and caramel syrup lingering.

Mouth is med bod, a little syrupy smooth feeling, decent carb.

Overall mixed feelings, it started nice, spices weren't overpowering, but don't get a whole lot of pumpkin, and plenty of sweet syrupy characters, thankfully also not too much, but still not a very enjoyable beer and hard to drink more than a glass, but not that bad.
