Pours a clear gold with a white lacing.

Smells of light coconut, mild ginger, and a notable cardamom spice.

Flavor is of cardamom, barely noticeable coconut, a hint of ginger spice, a bready maltiness, and a light citrus tartness.

Light body with a soft carbonation.

A pretty good saison with some interesting flavors and ingredients, but it kind of turns it away from classical saison flavors. Definitely worth trying and I will look for more from this brewery, but I feel like this recipe might have been better as a different style.

Very pale green-gold, to straw color. Head never really formed. Looks funny without it.

Huge (obvious) nose of cardamom pods, pickled ginger, and farmhouse yeast. Loud and simple. Hints of shandy lemon and white cherry. Strangely tangy, like a cheap lemon tea, with those two huge spice notes bulging muscles.

Lots of cardamom in the taste with more of that Lipton lemon tea tanginess. Spicy ginger still is prominent and still offers a sweet note. Lots of sweet notes that kind of compromise the beer. I don't know the story about how it's a cuvee, but I can't find enough elements to explain a blending of two beers. Almost has a canteloupe note or something similarly juicy. Farmhouse yeast can't tame all of these goings-on.

Bland feel. Too wet. Not enough carbonation. Too much wooly heft. Pudgy. Tacky.
