Great ! TRY IT !
Although this was sort of a cider based beer, couldn't find an appropriate classification for it. I had a very nice taste of this at The Lancaster Arts, which is really becoming Lancaster's great beer bar. The Pyrate looks great in the glass, golden, and the nose is really different; winey, almost like champagne and a fresh, fall, appley, but lush aroma. Sheesh. I need to go back and give this one more attention. I actually bought a glass of the Victory Harvest Pils while I was there, always such a nice beer I couldn't resist putting that over the fresh Winter Warmer I had just got at LBC. Good beers at every hand, I love it ! The Pyrate was put in a little snifter glass; Gordon and the crew there know how to dispense good beer. It's not a strong beer, definitely within cider parameters, and so drinkable; there's just enough malt counterbalance - too nice! I remember liking Scott's father-in-law's cider back at Summy House; this is quantum leaps. Bottles?
