Great pour, nice head. tongue coating, delicious mouth feel. Would not only use my own money to buy this one, would drive for this.
Could easily drink before/during/after a meal.

On tap at the brewpub in Eugene, Oregon.
Opaque, essentially black body with a good head. Limited lacing.
Attractive aroma with hints of toffee, dark bread and vanilla.
A bit too much vanilla with less complexity than expected.
Smooth, medium+ body and overly light carbonation.

Good taste, nice smell. Poured light on the head but looked good. Leaves a lace around the edge with a copper cream. High in c02 and make the feel a little rough. I was hoping for pure smooth.

Bottle from Albertsons. Pours out a dark but clear brown with nice, tall fluffy head. Vanilla edges out the roast grains in the aroma, but both balance out in the taste. Roast grains finish the whole deal with a dry, lingering bite. Not overly sweet, which is nice.

Serving on tap, served too cold but I let it warm.
This is a vanilla porter, and to me it's more vanilla than porter. There's almost no roasty character to the underlying beer. It's got a lot of vanilla in the nose and the flavor. Not too much else.
