Pretty decent pour only gives me a half finger head into my standard pint glass. The head is white and has a nice creamy look to it, but it also has a lot of big bubbles, so by no means perfect. The carbonation looks pretty standard. The body is a nice deep orange color, with hints of yellow, it looks just like an IPA should look like, but it does has some wheat beer characteristics, that's how cloudy it is. Zero visibility through this beer. The head has left a fair amount of foam on top of the body, which I always like. The head is also giving some good lacing throughout the beer. Overall it's a pretty good looking beer, the body is very nice, the head is good in some areas and irritating in others, overall good though. Fresh fruit (maybe grapefruit and oranges) and hops dominate the nose. For sure a sweet smell, which is too bad, I don't like an overly sweet double IPA (but they usually are due to the alcohol content). There is a small malt smell here as well, but for the most part it's all fruit and hops. Frankly it's not even that much hops, it's mostly just clean fruit smell. Not very crisp smelling, just clean. It smells good, but it doesn't have enough in the way of hops or maybe other flavors other than fruit. Good, but dropping the ball in some areas. Well there is for sure more of a hop bite and a hop bitterness on the flavor than I detected on the smell, which is good. Is it huge? Not really, but slightly bigger than I thought it would be. Very smooth, for sure not a crisp summer IPA, more of a kick back and relax smooth IPA. Is that a bad thing? Well I'd for sure like some crispiness to my IPA'S, but smoothness works in some beer, it worked in there Alphadelic IPA, not sure if it's working here though. There is some fruit in here for sure, but not as much as I thought there would be. Overall it really just tastes a little watered down to be honest. I mean....it's a tough beer to grade, because the hops are there, and it tastes good, and you can totally tell it's a quality brew, it's just....not really what I want in an IPA, it's also a little watery. The Alphadelic IPA was not this watery, and that's one of the reasons it pulled off the smooth feel, because it still had a backbone, this one doesn't as much. I'm rambling, overall it has a good flavor, and I hate to give it a 3.5 because it's a quality brew, but I have to say it deserves it. As far as the mouthfeel goes, I've pretty much said everything I can, it's very smooth, not very crisp at all, the carbonation is extremely low. The body is big enough for the style, but it doesn't make up for the lack of carbonation to the point where it almost feels like water. Not a terrible mouthfeel, the body is big enough, but it's just too un-crisp for me. Overall a good beer, it's just not put together the way it could be. Most of the pieces are there, they just aren't how I like them. The lack of carbonation and the lack of overall flavor are my two biggest problems.

Lighter in colour and lighter in body than most DIPAs. Very nice hop profile, with citrus and pine notes both in the nose, as well as in the mouth, just as it's advertised. The malt body does cut a bit of the bitterness, but doesn't overwhelm, as it sometimes happens in other beers of this style. A bitter/salty refreshing aftertaste. Surprisingly drinkable, for its ABV, though it will get to your head easily.

Drank out of a plastic cup at a cheap ass hotel in Newport, OR. This a very aromatic big beer with the 9% alcohol well hidden. Aromas and taste of pine and sweet citrus. Taste has residual sweetness to go with the malt. A very nice big ipa. First beer from this local brewery.

Appearance - Pours relatively clear with some light sediment, this golden orange brew produces a light sandstone head that peaks at about a finger's width before dying down in fair time. This results in a thin, broken layer of surface suds and a thin ring around the edge of the glass. Displays fair lacing with some sheeting and a few spots here and there, with good stick.

Smell - Strong tropical presence with notes of pineapple, orange, grapefruit and mango. Light pine. Faint bread sweetness.

Taste - Follows the nose. Citrus bite with a strong mango character smoothing out the bitterness. Light pine hits mid-taste. What little malt there is comes across as noninvasive, delivering faint, vague traces of bread. A bit of banana peel with the mango? Finishes with light citrus pith.

Mouthfeel - Close to medium in body with moderate carbonation. For the style, smooth, light and entirely quaffable. At 9% this is a hell of a feat.

Overall - Pretty good. A little too much mango for me to love entirely, but there's no denying how damn easy this drinks. I can see how people would put this in their list of favorites.

22 oz bottle, shared with Steffie, according to shelf description at Whole Foods it's a couple weeks fresh! Fresh Hops!

Served in a Maudite Tulip.

A- Aggressive pour leaves a short one finger head. Burnt orange body, egg white head.

S- Sweet malty front, huge grapefruit and citrus aromas, light flower essence.

T- Light caramel sweetness, a bit nutty, and grainy. citrus flavors of grapefruit and star fruit, blends into a herbal notes. For being advertised at 100 IBU, i find the bitterness balanced.

M- Medium carbonation, sweet and sticky

Dynamic IIPA, the grain flavor is unique per the style, certainly will be buying again.

22oz bottle, factually proclaiming "contains alcohol". Served in a chalice. Beer appears orange and significantly hazed. Big citrus juice aroma. No surprises, the flavor features layers upon layers of hops. Finishes like I'm chewing on a grapefruit rind. A lot of great hop flavors here, but as the label not-so-subtley promises, this beer is all about the bitter, no balance.

Clear, light amber color. Piney hops in the aroma, also some sweetness. West Coast style hop profile, piney, earthy and lots of grapefruit. Expected it to be sweeter but the taste is very balanced. Aftertaste is long and bitter. 9% ABV is very well hidden, making the beer easy to drink.

Pours a thin head on clear straw body.
The aroma is mango, pine and danky pineapple. Excellent.
The taste is a bitter mix with tropical fruit sweetness. Really nice.
The texture is crisp.

Had on tap at concordia in Portland after a big meal at tastee's and sons.

A-- half a finger of white head, hardly any lacing, very clear and the color of honey.

S-- very much a sniffer; strong pine, pine sap, freaking pine needles. This is not going to be citrusy, no doubt.

T -- how right I was. This guy is leafy! Maybe lemon on the finish, but you have to work to taste it. The finish goes by too quickly, in my opinion, but it lengthens as it gets warmer.

M -- pretty standard ipa feel. Small carbonation, more linen than velvet.

O -- better than okay, but not a whole lot better. DRINK WARM, way way better.
