Quirky housing / food store. They actually don't have a terrible shelf of beer. Lots of imports and some California brews. Lots of Rogue usually. The six packs and bombers are reasonably priced. However DON'T buy the singles! Significant mark up. Not even remotely the best place to go in town but not a bad option.

Basically if you're at Trader Joes and don't feel like going all the way to Co-Op (best place besides Beer Shoppe for bottled beer), head over to cost plus and you'll be able to find something for a good price.

I raised an eyebrow when i saw the Davis CostPlus on BA, but then I read Judy's review (below) and I went to check out the new selection. Yes, it is better, more extensive, and fresher than it was before. Very good prices, too...Lagunitas bombers for $3.99, including Hop Stoopid and Gnarlywine. Also saw Ommegang and Avery beers at very good prices. The beer is in amongst the wine, with one tall wall of bombers and 750s and then a long wall of sixers. Not a super big selection, but decent and very reasonably priced.

New beer guy, new and bigger selections. DFH, Avery, SN, Anchor, some good German and other European brews, and many other goodies are available. I look forward to seeing what else is brought in. I wish I knew the beer guy's name; I want to point out that he offered singles of any 6 or 4packs that were on the shelves, except for the one that I was looking for. He immediately made an exception and told me I could have the single as long as I tell him whether or not I enjoyed it. I really appreciate service that is flexible and incredibly helpful.
