Having family living in Claremont and going here many times, I thought it was about time I did a review. Ramuntos is in an old brick building by the river, looks like there was a fire at one time, you can see the char on the bricks, a nicely remodeled rustic look with two floors of seating. A small bar that seats 15 with flat screens and they feature the local craft beer scene including Long Trail,Switchback,Smuttynose, Otter Creek etc. Harpoon flights were available. They also have a house beer, Ramuntos Old Mill Pale Ale brewed by Harpoon which is a very nice addition to their taps.

The menu includes your usual, Pizza, salads, soup, wraps, sandwiches, fries, pasta and your finger foods. Overall a nice selection. A nice place to take the family.

You would think that a town the size of Claremont would have more than one place to sit down and have a few cold ones, if they do, I haven't found it, so this is the go to place for me. Overall not to shabby.

First of all, let me start off by saying I don't know of any more perfect marriages than great beer and great pizza!(In my opinion, anyways.)

Ramuntos is housed in an old mill buiding that sits right on the river. It has huge windows and exposed brick throughout. The river is viewable from multiple seating areas as well. They have two flat screens at the bar and two flat screens on either side of the dining areas. Sports programming is almost always what is on any of those sets, which is nice on Sundays for the football season. The bar has about twenty to twenty five seats in total, stretching roughly forty to fifty feet.

The staff are always helpful and are generally pleasent and friendly. We usually opt for a bar seat, as we know most of the bartenders. Ramuntos offers ten draft beers every night, as well as a decent bottle list. They tend to put mostly local beers on tap. Taps have included several Magic Hat, Long Trail, Switchback, Smuttynose and Sam Adams offerings. At times they have had some Brooklyn beers and Otter Creek/Wolavers, they even had Long Trail coffee stout two days ago. It's great to see the New England representation at local places. The menu is mostly pizzas, subs, stromboli, calzones and pasta items. They also have salads and some lighter fare. They offer daily specials which are different every day. Some deserts are available as well. They will make special orders to suit your needs/wants. They offer good value in a nice dining atmosphere for the whole family.

Overall Ramuntos is a great stop for a couple slices and brews.
