Presentation: 11.5 oz brown twist, no description and no freshness date.

Appearance: Hazy orange amber with a wonderful web like white lace that clings everywhere and leaves thick rings all the way down the glass.

Smell: Fragrant fruity and hoppy floral make for a sweetish aroma. Slight sweet tea nose within, very appealing.

Taste: Smooth with a moderate body that boots a crisp malty palate. Rustic hop bitterness and a lightly pungent hop oil flavour linger on top with a fruity and sweet grain mix. Fruitiness fades from peaches to apples while the hop bitterness cleans up. Pale malt character holds strong though is certainly not dominant.

Notes: Not much else one could ask for in a pale ale, seriously one of the finest pale ales I have ever had the joy to drink.

Snagged a single bottle from a "pick six" craft beer wall (Oak & Vine in Calgary). Poured into an English pint glass. This brew is a dark gold to light bronze color with a decent-sized light tan head. Smells like sweet dough accompanied by some dark fruit malty notes, along with some earthy hop spice, orchard fruit, and sweet flowers (clover?). Surprisingly devoid of citrus or pine aromas and the same is true on the palate. Rich sweet malts are most noticeable here, some plum and brown sugar, followed by spicy apples and pears, black tea, bramble fruit, peach ... Reminds me of something more sweet, floral, and mellow than most pale ales but very good nonetheless. Moderate to high carbonation and the finish does not become intensely bitter or dry, instead remaining earthy yet fruity at the same time. A well-constructed beer that would make a solid session option. This is not a hop showcase but instead hits a malt-forward profile, with hops relegated to the supporting cast.

This is a great beer. I have had it many times and today bout a 6 pack. i am reviewing this over the fifth and 6th beer.

a- This beer pours a copper colour with huge head. It pours a 2-4+ finger head depending on pour and previous lacing in the glass and leaves a nice thick film of head throughout the rest of the beer.

s- nice fruity hoppy smell. smells of lots of caramel and great smell of fruity hops. also takes on a bit of the smell of tea which becomes more apparent the more you drink of this beer. It smells very strongly from a bit of a distance.

t- tastes great. easy to drink. hops are very apparent for a beer at 35ibu. leaves long lasting fruity hop aftertaste for a while after drinking. bitterness is not too high but the aftertaste is great and long lasting. also tastes of some tea after drinking more as stated above.

m-the mouthfeel is good nothing wrong with it. carbonated beverage to me

o- one of my favourites had it many times before. its good
