Pours nicely, with a chocolate-tinged head. The foam is denseli packed tiny pearls that linger. Looks fantastic in a glass--a dark, reddish-black. Has a very faint smell, just barely there, but you can taste that smell once you take a sip. Tastes of coffee, a little sweet (but not candy sweet, just enough of a sweet to balance the coffee). All in all, one of my favourite things in the whole world.
And to top it all off, it reminds you of drinking a coffee by leaving the same nasty aftertaste. But, a small price to pay for a fantastic stout that could almost convince me that stouts are the best. Almost.

a: truly pitch black with one finger of tan, nitro-y head
s: deep roasty notes, coffee, slight chocolate. hints of oats and vanilla which is what i admire most about this beer
t: follows the nose. big roasted malt flavour, bitter black coffee, bitter dark chocolate, hints of dark fruits, namely prunes. very dry finish
m: light body, creamy, close to no carbonation
o: so so good, loaded with flavour for 5% abv. one of my favourites. a bit better from the bottle in my opinion. please try this beer

poured into a tulip glass
(Side note: The production date on the bottle says it was made over 4 years ago)
a - Black body with dark orange tint. Two finger fluffy head. Head color is caramel. Head deflates slowly in the center and then later on the edges to form a half finger, dark latté colored head.
s - Creamy and smokey-cigar smell. Bourbon notes.
t - cream and oats start. Middle is nutty/coffee bean. Finish is milk, coffee, and toffee.
m - Full and smooth. Linger feels like milk or cream lines the mouth
o - Head wasn't as rich and full as I usually like in a stout. The flavor was simple, but tasty. Mouthfeel of the body was very nice, and the best part of this beer.
